Carmen Garcia, Community Corporate Pty Ltd

I’m mum to Ashlee, 4 and Cooper 2, wife to Adam, owner and Managing Director of Community Corporate, a specialist firm working with the not for profit and corporate sectors to create innovative solutions that not only have profound social impact but align and respond to business imperatives. By providing a customised and tailored service we help achieve organisation’s aspirations to boost productivity, build corporate social responsibility and lead diversity and inclusion strategy.

My education, career and volunteering led me to build a purpose driven business that at its core is about collaboration, design thinking and delivering measurable impact, particularly for refugees and women.

Emma Lovell CoziGo

I live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and am mum to Aimee (7) and Harry (4). I own CoziGo – Sleep on the Go (formerly Fly Babee). CoziGo is a multi-award winning sleep and sun cover that was designed for both strollers and airline bassinets. Our aim is to help parents to practically address the difficulties of getting baby to sleep safely whilst on the go. We want parents to enjoy their parenting journey without the worry of their child’s sleep routine. I appeared on Australia’s first series of Shark Tank and gained Janine Allis of Boost as an investor.

Hayley Blieden, The Australian Superfood Co

Whilst the distinct flavours and health-enhancing properties of our gorgeous Australian superfoods remain mysterious to most, their nutritional qualities far outweigh many of their better-known international counterparts. Most Australians have never even tasted bush foods. Yet to the Indigenous people of Australia, native fruits and seeds have served as a source of food and medicine for over 50,000 years, sustaining them through harsh, unpredictable Australian weather. In fact, the foods themselves had to adapt to survive. These adaptations have resulted in extraordinary, highly concentrated, nutritional compositions.

After years of research and development The Australian Superfood Co (TASC) has created a unique range of food products richly infused with Australian native bush food; a powerful, diverse and exciting superfood group, hugely undervalued by the Australian commercial food industry.

Julia Simmonds, Itchy Baby Co

Before having my two children, Christian (5 years) and Sofia (4 years) I worked as a pharmacist and later combined my pharmacy background with a Masters degree in Communication to influence government health policy. Two years ago I founded Itchy Baby Co. which offers a range of natural products to target eczema and itchy, dry skin, as well as offering health information and tailored advice and support to families suffering with eczema. Currently we employ five staff, have a customer database of over 30 000 families who have bought our products, as well as a social media community of nearly 80 000.

Kym Foster, Share Shop

I am a happily married Mum of 3 children (11, 6 and 1yr). Before I started Share Shop, I was working as a lawyer until I had an epiphany about life being too short and deciding to travel around Australia for 3 years in a caravan with my family! Now we live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Share Shop is all about connecting people and resources so that they can live more of the life they love, without using money. It allows people to use whatever they already have, to get what they require or desire.
