2019 AusMumpreneur of the Year finalists

Hayley Blieden, The Australian Superfood Co.

The Australian Superfood Co (TASC) celebrates native Australian produce, foods which have sustained indigenous Australians for over 60,000 years. Working with Indigenous Australians and local growers, TASC sources fresh fruit, herbs and seeds and processes them into freeze dried powders, dehydrated fruits and liquid extracts. These products are then incorporated into their own range of health food products including snack bars and granolas or sold to other food, beverage and beauty manufacturers or food service including restaurants, cafes and bars.

TASC launched in 2014 following Hayley Blieden’s stint as dietitian at the North Melbourne Football Club. Working with Indigenous players, she realised they were consuming foods she had never heard of. She recognised the influx of imported superfoods and the disconnect between native foods and the current food chain. She made it her mission to increase awareness, accessibility and affordability of native Australian produce and the intrinsic link between Australian foods and Indigenous Culture.
