Raya du Plooy, Oh Flossy

Raya du Plooy is the founder of the children’s makeup brand Oh Flossy. Her days are filled with three small children and endless amounts of shimmery eyeshadow.

Raya began Oh Flossy in late 2017 after being unable to find makeup products that allowed her children the freedom of expression and play but didn’t overtly encourage them out of their few precious years of childhood. Oh Flossy’s chemist approved collection has a strict policy refusing to use any red, black or grey colours in any of their products and their promise is to never advertise or market in any way sexualising children.

Raya has not only developed a strong brand with exceptional products but has partnered with various researchers on what play does to a growing brain. This ground-breaking research is set to change our children’s generation and their future health both physically and mentally.

Rebecca Collins, House 2 Home Property Management

After beginning her career in a reception and administration role Rebecca found a true passion for property and investment which is why she chose to specialise in Property Management. In the fifteen years that has followed Rebecca has worked for both corporate organisations and independent boutique agencies but found one thing to be reoccurring no matter the size of the company – a focus on dollars and cents rather than providing an outstanding customer experience for tenants and landlords alike. The frustration with a misdirected focus drove her to begin her own business that focused more on building strong and enduring relationships rather than numbers. A dedicated property manager who prides herself on her honesty, integrity, diligence and customer service, Rebecca leads her team with pride and integrity, her vast knowledge allows her to guide her colleagues and provide an exceptional level of service to her clients.

Casey Duggan, Evolution Clinical

Casey has had a successful career in the Medical Devices industry in multiple roles across sales and marketing. After juggling her commitments in her previous roles, she wanted to find a way to use her skills and experience in this industry whilst having flexibility.

Concurrently, the Medical Devices industry has been undergoing change. Companies are under significant pricing pressures. In addition, employees are more transient and are now demanding work-life balance and time to explore their passions outside the industry. However, the customer demands for support and service remain the same.

Evolution Clinical evolved from these needs. The need for flexible working options for people with industry experience along with the need for the Medical Device companies to offer the same, high level of customer support but with “scaleability” so they can have the required support in busy periods yet decrease their overheads during slumps in the sales cycle.

The ARCH nappy bag easily converts from shoulder bag to backpack, is super stylish and has all the extra pockets a nappy bag needs. The unique unisex design has struck a chord with many likeminded mothers and fathers.

ARCH Bags had a slow start but with a focus on educating herself, Amy has been able to grow the business into 6 figures within the first 12 months.
