My name is Elle Likopoulos, and I am the Director of Absolute Business Brokers. With over 15 years of experience in the business broking industry, I have dedicated my career to empowering women, especially mothers, to thrive in business. As a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, I strive to create a supportive environment where women can achieve financial independence and leadership roles. Through my work, I aim to pave the way for future generations of female entrepreneurs.
When did you start your business?
Absolute Business Brokers is a family business, I have been involved for almost 16 years and Director/successor for the last 5 or so years.
What was the inspiration behind starting this business?
My inspiration came from my desire to create a more inclusive environment in the business world. I wanted to break down barriers for women and ensure they had the opportunity to succeed in an industry that often sidelined them.
What are you most excited about in your business?
I am most excited about the positive impact I can have on the lives of women and mothers who aspire to be entrepreneurs. It brings me joy to see them thrive and realize their potential.
What has been the most challenging thing about starting your business?
The most challenging aspect has been overcoming the gender biases and stereotypes that persist in the industry. It took a lot of hard work and determination to earn respect and create a space for myself and other women.
What advice would you give to other women thinking about starting a business?
Believe in yourself and your abilities. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot achieve. Surround yourself with supportive people and be willing to learn and adapt along the way.
Why did you enter the AusMumpreneur Awards?
I entered the AusMumpreneur Awards to gain recognition for my efforts and to amplify my message about empowering women in business. It’s a fantastic platform to share our stories and inspire others.

What has been the best thing about starting your own business?
The best thing has been the ability to create a positive impact on others and the flexibility to balance my career and family life.
What’s happening next in your business?
I plan to focus more on mentoring young women and expanding our training programs to empower the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
What are your big plans for the future?
My big plans include further advocating for women’s representation in leadership roles and developing resources that make it easier for young girls to pursue their dreams in business.
