2018 AusMumpreneur of the Year, BRONZE winner
Tell us the story behind why you love what you do and why you’re so passionate about sharing your message?
My passion is nutrition! I grew up in an Italian household where food was everything. Meal times were centred around conversation, community & sharing. I want to be able to help other busy families reclaim that, through easy to make nutritious meals.
Tell us a story about a challenging time you faced, how you overcame it and what lesson/lessons/wisdom this experience has taught you about life and business.
Having to leave my husband because it was a toxic relationship and was making me sick. I had two young kids and I just had to move away to be able to give them the best life. I became a single mum and their sole provider which meant working 2-3 jobs at a time. It taught me a lot about the inner strength that we all have and to be grateful for what we have. This time has also helped me manage my finances better in business.
What are 3 pieces of advice you would give someone starting out in business?
- Fail fast and move on. Mistakes are inevitable but the key is to not ruminate in them. See every mistake as a blessing and a new lesson.
- Good time management makes a huge difference. Set up systems from the get go and follow them.
- Share your story. The only thing that can’t be replicated about your business is you, so share your why!
What is your proudest business achievement? Why does this mean so much to you?
Our Smoothie Bombs being stocked on the shelves of our favourite store in the US, Anthropologie! Landing that deal has catapulted our brand into another league.

Finally, what do you believe is the secret to success?
Perseverance! If you want something bad enough, and are willing to work hard for it, you’ll eventually get it. It’s taken 8 years of blood, sweat and tears to become an ‘overnight’ success.
About our AusMumpreneur Ambassador
Cinzia Cozzolino went from being a sole parent on welfare to building a million-dollar business with her simple home recipe. She returned to study in her 40’s to become a clinical nutritionist. While searching for a solution to her daughter’s fussy eating, she hit upon the idea of mixing dried superfoods, nuts and seeds in advance into smoothie boosters.
Cinzia discovered there was a need in the market for the nutritious smoothies she was making at home and packaged her product, called The Smoothie Bombs, for other busy families. Her smoothie boosters can now be found on the shelves Australia wide in, in Anthropologie stores in the US, Alosra Supermarkets in Bahrain and in health stores throughout New Zealand.
