Equitise and AusMumpreneur have teamed up to support and promote Australian female entrepreneurs and investors. Each year the number of female founders grows however over the last four years, funding into these companies has plateaued. Equitise and AusMumpreneur want to change this, helping more female founders to access growth capital, and providing investors with more opportunity to support female founded businesses.

The Clean Collective

One of our 2019 AusMumpreneur finalists are currently raising capital for their company through Equitise. The Clean Collective unites the planet’s best products, ideas and experts on one online platform.

The Clean Collective is an online shop and blog, founded by Charlie Thomson, Charli Ferrand and Georgia Lawson. They sell natural, organic and eco-friendly personal care, cleaning and reusable products that meet its Safety & Sustainability Standard. And they publish information on how to live a healthier, more sustainable life on their blog.

The Safety & Sustainability Standard gives the brand authority and authenticity in the marketplace, and it’s driving results: The Clean Collective is the fastest growing marketplace in its industry.

Before co-founding The Clean Collective, Georgia worked 13 years in operation and distribution roles for Fortune 500s. Having experienced serious health issues as the result of a parasite, Georgia began studying a BA Health Science. Her passion for wellness was magnified when she discovered she was pregnant in 2016 and soon to be directly responsible for someone else’s health. She co-founded The Clean Collective to build an online authority that mums could truly rely on to read and analyse product labels, so they could spend time reading more stories to their little ones.

The Clean Collective is a finalist in the 2019 AusMumpreneur Sustainability award and the People’s Choice E-Commerce award.

What is equity crowdfunding?

Equity crowdfunding gives you the opportunity to sell shares in your company to a whole community of people rather than taking on just one investor, providing a true sense of ownership to the people who support you and want to see you succeed.

Did you know that women globally receive less than 3% of VC funding to scale their businesses? This means so many of women’s incredible ideas will never get off the ground or have the same traction as they would if they were funded. Equity crowdfunding is a gamechanger for women because it gives all of us the power to invest in each other and we know that when women support each other incredible things happen.

Is equity crowdfunding right for your business?

We believe that investing in women is the number one way to change the world! And we’re so proud to be able to offer this opportunity to the women in our community to get investment AND be able to become investors themselves too!

If you’re interested in finding out whether equity crowdfunding is right for your business or you’re interested in investing in female founders you can meet the Equitise team in person at The AusMumpreneur Conference at Pitch night on Thursday 5 September or submit an expression of interest here: https://equitise.com/ ausmumpreneur
