This year the AusMumpreneur Online festival for women by women focuses on inspiring purpose, vision and everyday activism. Featuring real-life, relatable role-models from all walks of life who are women changing the world through entrepreneurialism, education, conscious living, giving back, advocacy, innovation and more who had the courage to listen to the call to make a difference and took action to make it happen!
We hope that this event will inspire you to bring forth new creative ideas, open up exciting opportunities and bring back the excitement and love you have for your business and the future. Davina is the Founder at The Mumpreneur Lawyer. With over 20 years legal experience working for Australian and US law firms, Davina has developed a boutique practice supporting lady startups and small businesses with their e-commerce and commercial contracts, trademarks and IP. She holds a Masters of Law from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Performance Studies from the University of Sydney. She does pro bono work for the Actors Benevolent Fund and Surfing Mums Australia. Davina loves being a lawyer and entrepreneur, but her biggest love is being a Mum to Lucas, aged 3.

Elle is a mother of four kids under 10 (two of which are 18month old twins) and runs Absolute Business Brokers which is a family business. She is the highest earning sales agent in her firm and the first business broker to be invited by the Chinese government to speak in China to visa buyers.
Elle also host a podcast called The Mumpreneurs Club which is designed for career women with children and recently launched a non for profit support group for mumpreneurs navigating covid market and lockdown.
Elle’s role in Absolute Business Brokers is to motivate a male oriented group of agents to sell, manage the administration staff, any and all legal matters as well as steer the direction of the brand. She is driven to succeed to prove to women, there is no need to choose between career or children.
Karen Mc Dermott
Karen Mc Dermott is an award-winning publisher of 4 publishing companies and 1 publishing academy. She has signed best-selling international authors including Sarah, Duchess of York, Kate Forsyth, Juliet Marillier and many more in Serenity press, KMD Books and MMH Press. She also hires a castle in Ireland every year to host her annual writers retreat. She knows no limitations, only possibilities. Life is for living to the full and she loves to make amazing things happen from the seedling of an idea.
Ainslee Hooper is an Applied Anthropologist & Disability Inclusion Consultant, and soon to be first time author.
Graduating from Deakin University in 2015 having worked and studied part time, Ainslee now runs her own consultancy to help reduce ableism and increase disability inclusion and commenced a Ph.D in 2021. Her thesis is researching the experiences of people with disabilities in her hometown of Geelong during COVID19.
Leanne is a mum of 5 boys, ranging in age from 2 to 8 who loves hot coffee, caravan adventures and gardening.
After attending the Ausmumpreneur awards in 2018, she came home bursting with inspiration! She was approached by a preschool educator about making puzzles and sensory items. After extensive research, she found that there was an obvious void in the market for Australian themed educational resources.

Heidi Conway once life coach, once national manager in the corporate world – now an Aussie
mum of teens. Heidi has been reviewed as being able to have a conversation with your mind

It makes sense then that Heidi would listen to her sons and just know that in the traditional school environment their inner genius, she heard and saw often, was not sustainably lit. Heidi is co – founder of Changemaker Teens Global, a movement intended to r-Evoltionise the outdated, unresponsive traditional education system; she is redefining ‘school’.
As the founder and director of Alium Works, Ann Tomlinson works with job seekers and employers in the rail and construction industries to deliver more productive, rewarding, and safer workplaces. She has over 20 years experience working in the traditionally male-dominated rail industry including senior roles leading multi-million dollar projects in Australia and internationally.
Ann has been recognised both personally and professionally for her commitment to innovation and creating pathways with an AusMumpreneur ‘Women will Change the World’ Award in 2020, a Digital Transformation Award in 2020, and a Diversity Award in 2019 for her career-building Pathway Program. Her focus is on providing opportunities and pathways for career growth to a broad range of job seekers, while she uses groundbreaking technology to help leading employers to acquire, grow and retain the right talent.
Anna Tim, is the founder of Wellness @ Wilston. Driven by her desire to help clients achieve a better state of health and wellbeing, Anna set out to empower others to live a long, full and healthy life- from what Anna had witnessed in our “healthcare system” she had this inherent belief that in the right environment with proper nutrition the body can heal itself. So, Wellness @ Wilston was born.

The business started when Vanessa was trying to juggle the work life balance of working a part-time job and owning a small bookkeeping practice. An Engineer by profession, Yemi is a champion and tireless advocate for equality and equity in STEM fields. Now an Entrepreneur and Mindset Coach, she is an advocate for self-empowerment and resilience as tools to get organisations back on track with wellness and productivity.
After a whirlwind career as an Artist that saw me perform on a multitude of stages and on TV
screens for over a decade, it wasn’t until I was 4 months pregnant with my first child that I decided to hang up my microphone. I have not looked back since.
Now I am an award winning Entrepreneur, Talent Agent, Industry Mentor and Theatrical

Karthika Sivarajan is an eco-
conscious, kind and compassionate person. A Mother, she has had a colourful career, playing roles as diverse as Product Development Engineer, Software professional, Primary school teacher, Educator, Speaker and now an Entrepreneur who has started a social impact venture called ‘Embrace’.
Her start-up ‘Embrace’ is all about embracing and empowering women, particularly those from the disadvantaged sections of society. Embrace promotes eco-friendly, sustainable products like hand-stitched cotton/jute handbags, lunch/laptop bags etc. made by mentally challenged women in rehab-shelters and women from lower socio-economic sections of India.

Leah Chandler is a mum of 3, a lover of people, a wellness specialist, and enjoys competing in Olympic weightlifting. Her personal story has led to her passion for building inclusive communities (especially for those with additional needs).
Her business, Kids-Fit Australia provides fitness, yoga & mindfulness programs to all that support kids and families. This includes kids of all ages, parents & carers, families, and educators (schools, early learning, and childcare centres -both mainstream and special needs).

Madeeha Usman is a Chartered Accountant and the Founder Director at The Kalculators, Australia.
After Madeeha became a mother, she decided to leave her high-flying corporate

Mel James is a child protection social worker based in Brisbane, Australia. Led by her passion to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people in foster care, she started her own company Social Care Solutions in 2009, to deliver high quality consultancy, training, professional development and assessment services to those engaged in the child protection industry. Mel has since built a second company aimed at disrupting the fostering system and how it recruits and supports its foster carers.

My love for food changed when my children were little and with further education on foods and the effects it has on our bodies the more intrigued I became. The impact it had on our house the more I realized I needed to help others. To accommodate those with their own intolerances and allergies, to become healthier and wiser with foods. My cooking career changed to refined sugars, no gluten, no dairy and no meat, then it became my business.

As the owner of two incredibly different businesses, which are special to me and I love both for varying reasons, they do keep me very busy. My first business and love is my eBay consultancy business where I work directly with small businesses, helping to establish their business on the eBay platform and mentor them through the start-up phase and beyond for ultimate business success. After the birth of my first son, Koa, a creative side within me emerged and I was driven towards the unfamiliar. This spark, led me, without any prior fashion design experience to launch my second business, a children’s clothing label named Brave & Fearless. Edgy on trend clothing for the Rad Little Lad & Hip Little Chick, being featured in Vogue, Elle and Mama Magazine and showcased on the catwalk at Fashion week the label has gone from strength to strength.
Sally Andrew is a wife, mother and business owner from regional Queensland. Her and her husband have had four business’ between them over the last 15 years. With a passion for excellence and development Sally bought a floundering
dance studio in 2015 and turned it into one of the regions most awarded dance destinations. Now encompassing three businesses in one building: the dance studios, retail outlet and vocational training centre. Sally is a life long learner and constantly studying for work or interest. With three busy children their life is a hectic
blend of work and play.

Kylie-Lee is a proud Murrumburr women who grew up in a small aboriginal community called Patonga in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Kylie’s mum is a traditional owner of this region and a well-respected elder. In 2016 Kylie-Lee began her company Kakadu Tiny Tots an Indigenous owned company from Kakadu NT creating beautiful organic baby and children’s clothing that features hand painted Indigenous art and designs. Every little piece created comes with its own Dreamtime story.
The company has grown from strength to strength, Stocked in over 80 boutique stores around Australia as well as domestic and International airports. Their E-commerce store has tripled in sales year on year. With a very exciting social media campaign to be launch before Christmas promoting beautiful products made from Indigenous women around Australia. Growing up in the bush is incredible but also comes with many challenges especially when trying to start an Indigenous business!
