Did you know that the lining of your gut contains more nerve cells than the whole spinal cord? Inside every woman is an internal GPS system. It’s like a compass, which constantly points you in the direction of your greatest life. It’s constantly speaking to you through your body in the form of your deep gut instincts or intuition.  It will give you an honest yes or no about whether to proceed with a decision. Over-riding it can have painful consequences.

Unfortunately, women are not taught to honour this power that comes from within. It is not recognised in a court of law, nor is it considered valid in the medical settings of our patriarchal society. However, it can be applied to great effect. Especially when you’re seeking life-sustaining success in order to care for your business and family and live your most soulful and satisfying life. For true sustainability in your business, take a look at each of the four directions on your compass to see if they are in balance. Trust your intuition to guide you to the centre of your compass so that you can see each angle from that centred, steady place within you.

  1. The North pole – soul purpose

Are you operating your business from a place of true alignment with your natural talents and genius zone? Does your business reflect the best in you? Being on purpose in your business is also known as facing True North. This will always feel like the best ‘fit’ for who you are and all you have to offer. Be honest with yourself and check in with the main activities of your core business and see whether they are a true reflection of what you love.

Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress, working hard for something we love is called passion.

– Simon Sinek

When you’re working from your True North, you’ll feel strengthened and capable of overcoming the inevitable obstacles that are a part of creating something special.

  1. The East pole – your feminine body

Honouring your East pole, which is your feminine nature in business, means engaging the right side of your brain – the creative, intuitive, playful, reclining and spontaneous aspects of yourself.  Your ability to feel comfortable receiving and giving yourself permission to co-create your dreams are great indicators that all is well in the East pole of your business.

Being able to recline and receive means relaxing into the flow of life and trusting that life wants to provide abundantly in return for your commitment to your purpose.

  1. The South pole – your physical body

True success happens when your physical body is ignited, enlivened and compatible with what you do in your business. All the material success in the world won’t compensate for chronic health issues. One of the reasons you may be feeling ‘wired’ or ‘burnt out’ is because your nervous system has been running on a fight or flight response without adequate outlet for your physical motivational forces to be channelled. Channelling your energy through your body will create energy and lift motivation. A balanced South Pole means inhabiting your body with comfort and ease so that you are well connected to your intuitive and embodied decision-making processes.

  1. The West pole – the mental body

Masculine energy is direct, logical and left-brain in nature. The West pole is that area of your business or life, which is planned, outcome focused, directed and outward facing. When you are living on purpose, comfortable with your intuitive and embodied state of being, a balanced West pole will often come naturally. However, for many soulful women, they resist this final stage of success creation. Being comfortable with the pragmatic, masculine and mindset structures, which underpin your business is supportive to your overall abundance and freedom. So it’s important to allow time to get into alignment in your West pole.

Being comfortably committed to delivering your gifts and talents, having a balance between your masculine and feminine energies and being securely connected to your physical body sets you up for optimal conditions to truly honour your intuition. You can now move forward with certainty, your compass needle steadily pointing North, knowing that you are right on path.
