Hi I’m Max Winter, a Master Practitioner Life & Mindset Coach, mother of two children, partner, and a crazy busy mum entrepreneur! I have a background in Marketing and have worked in India, Bangladesh & Thailand developing self-sufficiency programs for women in remote villages. I am also a teacher and I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

When did I start the business?

I have been working tirelessly behind the scenes for a while and have now been practicing around a year.

What are you most excited about in your business?

Seeing transformation firsthand!   I love helping people rediscover and reconnect with their true worth and living their best life.

My business Max Winter Coaching is built upon my drive for helping others to never miss an opportunity again because of their limiting beliefs, negative influences, and lack of confidence. I have lived and breathed self-doubt and lack of confidence for most of my life, so I understand the struggles people go through just to ‘show up’ some days.  My turning point was studying as Master Practitioner Coach, hypnotherapy, and NLP, and using Matrix Therapies and mBIT.  I went through the transformation process personally and I realised how powerful the tools can be in changing lives.  I get excited when you, ‘find you’, and create positive meanings from life’s defining moments and reconnect with who you are and who you want to be.

What has been the most challenging thing about starting a business?

Starting a business is bloody hard and exciting! Being on your own and feeling you need to know and do everything yourself is overwhelming.  Suddenly you realise all the things you don’t know which can stop you from moving forward.  The important thing is to take one small step each day towards your goal whether it takes months or years, keep going and ask for help if you need it. Women can be too hard on themselves, but through our passions we can achieve many things!

What advice would you give to other women starting a business?

Don’t be too hard on yourself, you are not superwoman, just a beautiful woman beginning her own journey of self-discovery. Seek help to do the things that sap your energy and stop doing things that don’t light you up!

Why did you enter the AusMumpreneur Awards?

I entered because I was so excited to be nominated and to know that others believed in me! I have spent too many years playing safe and small, but I now fully embrace who I am.  I felt that I truly needed to celebrate myself and enter.  This was a way of acknowledging myself, through the highs and low to reach this point in my life.   I wanted other women to know who I am, what I stand for and to let them know that they can do it too!

What did you enjoy the most about being part of the awards?

I valued the opportunity to be part of a beautiful acknowledgement of women, showcasing who we are and what we have achieved.   I loved the feeling of being supported and understood.

What surprised you most about the awards?

How genuine they were.   It is a business with a heart and soul and a mission to celebrate woman’s achievements.

How did the awards help you in your business?

It is early days yet, however, it has helped me personally as it has given me the rubber stamp and opportunity to share my business and message in a larger forum.  My ultimate goal is to help others to see themselves and believe they are worth it.  When you accept yourself and find the real you, your life will be forever changed.

What advice would you give to other mums thinking about entering the awards?

Definitely go for it!  It is a growth journey, and I am so grateful for the opportunity.

What has been the best thing about starting your own business?

It is the Freedom of me allowing myself to be me!   Also, having the control over my choices. Starting your business can be very creative and scary at the same time and it’s about believing in your purpose, your why and creating feelings of gratitude with each step you take, with each achievement you have and the more you move out of your comfort zone the more confidence you will gain.

What is happening next in your business?

Up until now I have been fully booked just by word of mouth and referrals, however, I am going to drag myself kicking and screaming into the 21st Century as I am currently getting all my technological side of the business online and systemised.

At present I work in the one-to-one transformational space, and I am currently developing workshops and online courses to inspire others with tools for change, to help them find their identity to take their life to the next level.  I believe that if we work on our own ‘stuff’ and embody the change, the ripples will extend to our children, family and friends helping to create change in their worlds too!

Also, I am a relationship coach and love this aspect of my coaching business. I would love to work in this space more to help people work out what they desire and need from their relationships and connections with themself and others.

What are your big plans of the future?

Ooooh, exciting question……. I want to work with our youth. I plan to encourage the development of emotional intelligence opportunities for students to find solutions within themselves, aimed at building resilience around self-worth, love, and acceptance.
