When did you start your business?
2019
What was the inspiration behind starting this business?
I made a lot of mistakes with my first business and lost a lot of money (over $100,000!). I was inspired to stop others from making the mistakes I did and to help them to have the best start possible in their eCommerce business.
What are you most excited about in your business?
Currently I’m excited about all the guests I’m interviewing on the Unstoppable eCommerce Podcast. Many of them I met at the Ausmumpreneur conference and awards and they all have incredibles stories and insights to share. What I love most about this community is that all the guests have shared so openly in the interests of helping others who may be starting their eCommerce journey.
What has been the most challenging thing about starting your business?
The most challenging thing about starting was that I did it with a business partner! Now that the business is mine I can fully define the vision and direction of the business and I feel far more aligned with it than before.
What advice would you give to other women thinking about starting a business?
Go for it, but don’t be afraid to get help along the way. There are people who have already done what you want to do or been where you want to go so look to them for guidance and advice rather than trying to reinvent the wheel.
Why did you enter the AusMumpreneur Awards?
I entered to reach a community of like minded women and get credibility for my business.
What did you enjoy the most about being part of the awards?
All the incredible women I met at the conference and awards night – and getting all dressed up for the awards night was fun!
What surprised you most about the awards?
Just how many amazing women were in attendance and all the different businesses they ran. It was incredible to connect with so many inspiring mothers in one place.
How did the awards help you in your business?
The awards introduced me to new people and gave me a platform to grow my reach and credibility.
What advice would you give to other mums thinking about entering the awards?
Absolutely go for it! It’s a fun process and it makes you reflect on your business and you get to meet an incredible network of mums in business.
What has been the best thing about starting your own business?
I love the flexibility it gives me in working around my family. I can attend my child’s swimming lesson and work when I get home or take time off to go for a walk with my family and fur babies.
What’s happening next in your business?
Exciting times ahead for Unstoppable eCommerce, we’re going through a growth period and introducing new products and services as well as continuing to update our core offering the eComm Ignitor® program with the latest techniques in eCommerce marketing.
What are your big plans for the future?
To be the go to resource for women looking to start or scale an eCommerce store. I want to help 1,000 women through my eComm Ignitor® program.
